Engineering / Production & R&D · Full-time
Junior Engineer (JE) – Drone Integration & Testing
Build and integration • Assemble, wire and integrate multirotor and fixed-wing drones on the production line and in R&D, following build standards and checklists. • Install and configure flight controllers, ESCs, motors, GNSS, telemetry radios and power systems. • Integrate payloads and sensors such as gimbal cameras, LiDAR and companion computers under senior guidance. • Solder, crimp and build harnesses to a production-quality standard; follow ESD practices. Design support • Create and modify 3D parts, mounts and enclosures in SolidWorks; prepare drawings for 3D printing and CNC cutting. • Support propulsion and battery selection by running bench and thrust tests and recording results. Software and configuration • Set up and tune ArduPilot parameters; use Mission Planner / QGroundControl for calibration, mission planning and log review. • Write and maintain Python scripts for testing, MAVLink communication and data logging. • Assist with companion-computer setup for edge-AI detection and tracking applications. Testing, QC and documentation • Carry out pre-flight checks, hover-cage tests and field flight trials; analyse flight logs and report issues. • Perform quality checks on finished drones and maintain build, test and configuration records. • Troubleshoot and repair drones returned from the field.
View requirements
